BISO presents a diverse range of orchestral performances, including classical, contemporary, and cross-genre concerts, in major concert halls and community venues throughout Boston and beyond.

BISO develops educational opportunities for emerging musicians through outreach initiatives and an internship program in which talented young artists perform alongside professional members of the orchestra. These experiences provide hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to professional-level performances.

The orchestra also offers music education programs in schools, libraries, and community centers, including workshops, masterclasses, coaching, and mentoring opportunities that inspire and nurture the next generation of musicians.

BISO hosts galas, benefit concerts, donor appreciation events, and other special gatherings that support its artistic and educational mission.

These activities are made possible through the work of our professional orchestra members, guest artists, and dedicated staff, with support from grants, sponsorships, ticket sales, and individual donations.
