The Boston International Symphony Orchestra (BISO) is dedicated to enriching the cultural landscape by providing high-quality symphonic performances, fostering music education, and engaging with diverse communities. Our planned activities include:
BISO will present a variety of orchestral performances, including classical, contemporary, and cross-genre concerts, held in major concert halls and community venues throughout Boston and beyond.
BISO aims to develop an internship program where talented young musicians will have the opportunity to perform alongside professional musicians in the orchestra. This initiative will provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to professional-level performances. We will establish music education programs in schools, libraries, and community centers, providing workshops, masterclasses, and mentoring opportunities for young musicians.
The organization will host galas, benefit concerts, and donor appreciation events to support its mission.
These activities will be conducted by our professional orchestra members, guest artists, and staff, with funding derived from grants, sponsorships, ticket sales, and individual donations. This flexible framework allows BISO to evolve and expand its offerings as opportunities arise.
BISO will collaborate with local arts organizations, cultural institutions, and underserved communities to promote accessibility to classical music.
The orchestra will partner with international musicians and institutions to exchange artistic ideas and present global musical perspectives.
BISO plans to support contemporary composers by commissioning and performing new symphonic works.
